How to Upload your Recipe:
Got a great fish recipe? Let us in on it. Recipes can only be in a text file (.txt extension) not HTML, Word (.doc) or any other type of
text file. Your recipe will look scrumptious if you have a photo to accompany it, but not required. Photos are limited to 100K and recipes are limited to 30K.
You must be logged in to upload your recipe to the magazine.
When your recipe goes online the title, fish species and author are shown next to your photo.
The first 200 (approx) characters will appear with a clickable link to go to the recipe.
For your recipe to appear in the best way, use the following format:
Do not include the title, author or fish species in your recipe file (at least not in the text file copy).
First, a short paragraph at least 200 characters (about 3 lines) long, describing the recipe, such as how many it feeds, party food, family favorite, great for barbecue, main dish, side dish, etc.
Second, the list of ingredients, don’t use word processing functions like tables, columns, fancy fonts, colors, borders, etc. They will not be kept when the file is saved as a text file for upload to the sight.
Third, instructions, list the step by step directions to make the dish.
Then save your recipe as a text file. Some word processing programs allow you to save your files with the .txt extension. Try going to the File pull down menu, choose Save As, look at the options for Save as Type for Plain Text or .txt file extension. If not, open Notepad, copy and paste your recipe, then save it.
